About Wendy
I’m Wendy — a Registered Nurse with eight years of nursing experience in general practice and a 20-year background in Defence. Supporting others has always been part of who I am. Even from a young age, I was drawn to caring for and including others, particularly those who needed extra support.
My Defence career included seven years as a chef, twelve years in Military Police, and time in the Army Reserves as a training instructor. These years shaped my understanding of resilience, leadership, and the profound impact life stress has on the nervous system and overall health.
Since becoming a nurse in 2018, my passion for whole-person care has continued to deepen. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Medicine – Skin Cancers and work in general practice, where my focus is on supporting overall health, prevention, and long-term wellbeing. I am also a Spinal Flow Technique Practitioner, supporting nervous system regulation and whole-body flow to help the body restore balance, ease, and vitality.
Alongside my professional roles, I have completed Stage One and Two Reiki Jin Kei Do — meaning the path of compassion and wisdom — as well as Stage One and Two Buddho EnerSense. While these practices are not the foundation of my clinical work, they strongly inform how I show up with presence, awareness, and compassion. I am currently enjoying learning Qigong as part of my own personal healing journey.
Family and friends are at the heart of who I am. Outside of practice, I enjoy signing up for fundraisers once a year, and it also helps me to stay active. I enjoy fishing /boating with my husband when we get the chance, and spending time at the beach, unwinding with Netflix, crocheting, and just recently learning (slowly!) how to grow plants and fruit at home.
At the core of my work is creating a grounded, supportive space where people feel safe, seen, and heard — empowering them to reconnect with their body’s innate intelligence and live with greater balance and clarity.
